What the EU anti-corruption chapter changes for businesses in Ungheni
On 15 June 2026, Moldova opened the «Fundamentals cluster» with the European Union — the negotiating package that includes justice and the fight against corruption and that sets the pace for the whole accession. Eleven days later, the conversation is set to reach Ungheni too: a regional consultation on anti-corruption reforms and European integration, organised by the Ungheni branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with the Centre for the Analysis and Prevention of Corruption. For a border town, the stakes are not abstract — they are visible right at the Sculeni customs point.
